TIPS is a family owned business with deep roots. The Blackburns have been involved in construction for generations. Whether teaching building trades to high school students, constructing their own homes, or working on large community projects or subdivisions, from a young age the Blackburn family was involved in bringing buildings to life. With a constant desire to adapt and improve, the parent company of TIPS was formed in 2009 with the goal of finding the best materials and methods for construction. Scouring the globe, Structural Concrete Insulated Panels (SCIP) were identified as the strongest and most versatile building material available, and we have worked diligently to find new ways to improve their acceptance in the general construction industry. We started by building single family and multifamily homes and later developed the processes and engineering required to bring TIPS to the tilt-up and precast large building markets. We continue to push new projects and ideas into reality knowing that the future of construction must be both affordable and sustainable.
